For ECTs, the first years of teaching are full of new responsibilities, experiences and opportunities to build on. It is a time to put into practice the knowledge they have already acquired and should be a fully supported journey to ensure standards are met, confidence is built and skills are developed.

Appropriate Body Service
SIPS continues to provide the Appropriate Body Service for ECTs on behalf of Sandwell Local Authority, our service includes:
- Induction consultancy – email, face to face and on the telephone
- High quality materials including electronic toolkits
- Model documentation and support
- Dedicated telephone helpline
- Robust quality assurance and feedback
- Support to senior management teams including governors
- Additional support to ECTs at risk at no additional cost
- Induction briefings liaison with TRA – registration, updates etc
Bespoke Support
Schools may wish to purchase in school support to include: supported planning sessions, supported teaching (in classroom) etc. This can be provided on a half-day, full day or extended package of support. All delivered by experienced teachers who are specialists in supporting early career teachers.
