We continue to work with Sandwell schools to build and support their music offer. It is our goal
to encourage every school in Sandwell to work with us, so that there is an equity of opportunity
for children to learn a musical instrument during their time at school.

Mission Nutrition: Introducing our new school menu for Spring 2026

We’re delighted to introduce our new school meals menu, thoughtfully developed with children and taste‑tested by pupils, to ensure every meal delivers on what matters most: nutrition, enjoyment and choice.

At SIPS, we believe that school food should do more than meet standards. It should be something children genuinely look forward to, while giving schools and families confidence that every plate supports health, wellbeing and learning.

Listening to Children, Shaping Better Lunchtimes

Children’s voices were central to the development of our new menu. Through tasting sessions and feedback, pupils told us what they enjoy, what they’re curious to try, and what makes a school lunch feel exciting.

That insight has helped us create a menu that balances:

    • Familiar favourites children love

    • New and exciting flavours to broaden tastes

    • Well‑balanced meals that fuel energy and concentration

By involving children directly, we’re helping to build positive relationships with food and encouraging healthier choices that last beyond the school gates.

Fully Compliant, Carefully Balanced

Every dish on our new menu is fully compliant with UK school food standards, ensuring pupils receive meals that are:

    • Nutritionally balanced

    • Age‑appropriate

    • Designed to support growth, development and learning

Our menus are carefully planned to provide the right mix of protein, carbohydrates, fruit and vegetables, while limiting foods high in fat, salt and sugar — without compromising on taste.

We also take great care to support pupils with allergies, intolerances and medical dietary needs, ensuring lunchtimes are inclusive, safe and enjoyable for all.

Quality Ingredients, Trusted Standards

We’re committed to using great ingredients and working to recognised food standards, giving schools peace of mind and children meals they’re happy to eat.

From hearty hot meals to lighter options, fresh fruit and desserts, our menus are designed to:

    • Encourage healthy eating habits

    • Support social interaction at lunchtime

    • Create a calm, positive dining experience

Because when children enjoy their lunch, it shows in the classroom too.

More Than a Meal

As a schools‑owned, not‑for‑profit cooperative, everything we do is driven by the needs of the school community. Our focus is to reinvest into improving services, quality and support for schools – not to make a profit from children.

Our new menu reflects that commitment — combining child‑centred design, nutritional responsibility and value for money, while supporting schools to deliver a lunchtime experience they can be proud of.
