In just two weeks, SIPS IT delivered a smooth and secure migration from a legacy network to a modern cloud-based infrastructure, significantly enhancing Bearwood Primary School’s digital resilience and future-readiness.

Modernising Infrastructure with Precision

SIPS IT successfully completed the migration for Bearwood Primary School from a legacy, end-of-life CC4 network to a modern Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure within a two-week timeframe. All data, applications, and user accounts were seamlessly transitioned to Entra, SharePoint, and Intune. Devices were rebuilt using Windows Autopilot and Intune, fully integrated into the new environment, and legacy servers were decommissioned.

Delivering Stability and Future-Readiness

The school’s internet service provider was also migrated during the project, adding further complexity. Despite this, the project was delivered on time with minimal disruption and has significantly enhanced the school’s IT stability, security, and compliance. The transition has been a major success and lays a solid foundation for future developments.

A very big thank you for all of your hard work over the Easter holiday… I know it has been a monumental task. The fact that we are
all up and running today is testimony to your professionalism and it is very much appreciated. Please pass on my thanks to everyone else who played their part too.

Head Teacher at Bearwood Primary School

More Case Studies

As a Birmingham City Council Maintained school we were required to source alternative arrangements for Finance, Payroll and HR in the academic year 2024-2025. This was going to be a major requirement in relation to just one aspect, but the fact that this was in relation to 3 key areas for a school this was certainly a daunting prospect.
