We continue to work with Sandwell schools to build and support their music offer. It is our goal
to encourage every school in Sandwell to work with us, so that there is an equity of opportunity
for children to learn a musical instrument during their time at school.

As pupils return to face to face teaching, we’re pleased to note that we configured almost 2,000 laptops and tablets for home schooling during the last lockdown.

This has allowed pupils across the region to study safely and efficiently from home during the pandemic.

Our IT Team has worked across 15 schools in the region, spending an average of 45-60 minutes on each computer, getting them ready for home schooling.

This work forms part of SIPS’ wider commitment to equip its schools with modern technology and cloud services; driving closer collaboration between students and teachers, improved accessibility and flexibility, whilst minimising the impact on schools’ budgets.

Chris Tromans, Technical Manager at SIPS said: “As a schools-focused organisation, we understand the importance of education for young people, placing those young people at the heart of everything we do.

“I’m pleased that we’ve been able to provide schools with the tools required in order to continue to deliver lessons, even outside of the school walls. The devices provided by the DfE will now allow young people, especially those from disadvantaged families to gain access to essential remote learning and resources.”
