We continue to work with Sandwell schools to build and support their music offer. It is our goal
to encourage every school in Sandwell to work with us, so that there is an equity of opportunity
for children to learn a musical instrument during their time at school.

SIPS celebrates Public Sector Catering Week

Public Sector Catering Week kicks off today with a focus on kitchen technology of the future.

Here at SIPS, we’ve recently been undergoing our own digital transformation, refreshing all of our existing I.T. kit in kitchens with new future-proofed devices. Through building a customised landing page, we’ve ensured quick and easy navigation around our new platform; trained an additional sixty ‘users’ on the software and hardware required; and at last count, no less than twenty-two areas have been modernised from paper-based transactions to electronic including meal data collection, automated invoicing, and inductions for new colleagues via our new e-learning portal.

Through the modernisation, we’ve achieved a reduction in print costs of nearly 75%, an associated drop in C02 emissions, time-savings, and greatly improved business continuity and resilience.

Later this week, we’ll be exporing local sourcing and careers.
