to encourage every school in Sandwell to work with us, so that there is an equity of opportunity
for children to learn a musical instrument during their time at school.

SIPS is looking for an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to support (when required) the delivery of Fire Risk Assessments to be carried out in schools within the Black Country and Birmingham area over the next few months.

Key elements of the role include:

  • Conducting complex and technical fire risk assessments on behalf of customers that meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • Producing schematic plans and Fire Risk Assessment reports that meet legislative requirements including action plans required to ensure the safety of the building.
  • Acting as a competent resource for both internal and external customers, for support and guidance on a range of complex fire safety matters

Candidate Requirements:

  • You must either have or be working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment and have a good working knowledge of the relevant Fire Safety Legislation and National Standards, codes of practice and have an understanding of risk-based inspections.
